James D. Evans, Jr. ("Jim") is the chief executive officer of Evans Tank and Services, Inc. with over 50 years of experience in the vessel industry. He is highly knowledgeable in all aspects of design, engineering, fabrication, inspection and installation of all types of tanks. Jim’s experience ranges from ASME Section VIII, Division 1 and 2 to API-650, API-620 and UL above-ground and underground storage tanks.

Jim is as much at home designing and building a tank of Hastelloy at 3000 psi as an atmospheric carbon steel constructed API-650 storage tank.  (Jim has built Hastelloy vessels up to 3-inches thick.)

Jim served as Executive Vice President of Metal Equipment Company from 1970-1978, then President and CEO of Evans Process Tank Company from 1978-2000. Jim and his brothers formed PES in 1988. It was the first API-653 inspection and verification company of its type. He has also served as a consultant to various  different companies until Evans Tank & Services was formed in 2010 at the behest of a number of former customers.

Jim Evans has a reputation of quality and dependability with an eye on reducing cost.  He is "the man" that knows Tanks!
